The Student Circuit Design competition encourages student\u2019s ability to design and build circuits based on given practical requirements and constraints. The competition will have a theme (e.g. sensor based actuation) and competing teams will all be provided the same problem statement. This year’s theme will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n
An example component list that the students would need to be familiar with will be provided. For example, for sensor based actuation, components might include:<\/p>\n<\/div>
IEEE Undergraduate Students, with a current IEEE membership, at universities throughout IEEE Region 5 are invited to compete.<\/p>\n
The teams must submit their Intent to Compete form<\/a><\/u><\/b> by the deadline to be eligible to compete.<\/p>\n Teams are selected from the submitted pool on a first come first served basis. Selected teams will be notified to register for the R5 conference and participate in the competition. Team substitutions are at the discretion of the competition chair.<\/p>\n The first team from each school to submit an Intent to Compete form will be given preference and subsequent teams submitting an Intent to Compete form from that school will be waitlisted.<\/i><\/p>\n If after submitting your team\u2019s Intent to Compete, your team decides it will not be able to compete, please inform the Competition\u2019s Chair as soon as possible so that the next waitlisted team can be accepted into the competition.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n At the beginning of the competition all teams will receive the same technical problem statement and necessary components, testing and measuring equipment. Click on the button below to join the R5 Discord Server. Inside the server you can find channels for all the competitions.
