IEEE Region 5 Student Poster Competition

IEEE Region 5 invites undergraduate students at IEEE Student Branches and Eta Kappa Nu Chapters to submit a Poster to one of the 26 Local IEEE Region 5 Student Poster Competitions.  Posters relating to technical, engineering, management, or societal aspects of any subjects relevant to science, engineering and technology are invited.  The top three Posters from each of the 26 Local Competitions will be advanced to one of the four IEEE Region 5 Area Competitions by 18 January 2021.  The top two Posters in each of the four (IEEE Region 5 Area Competitions will be advanced to the IEEE Region 5 Regional Posters Competition.

Only one author of each of the Student Poster selected can compete in the IEEE Region 5 Regional Paper Competition 10 April 2021 for the oral presentation, and then answer 5 minutes of questions about the paper.  Read more >>

IEEE Region 5 Circuit Design

The Universities are invited to register a Two-Student Team to compete in the IEEE Region 5 Circuit Design Competition.  The student team will be challenged to solve a technical problem provided to the teams on the day of competition.  Teams must complete the Intent to Compete Form and register for the IEEE Region 5 Student Conference.  Read more >>

IEEE Region 5 Student Ethics Competition 

The Universities are invited to register a Two-Student Team to compete in the IEEE Region 5 Student Ethics Competition.  The Ethics Competition is hosted by IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu leaders.  The student team will be challenged to consider an ethical situation they might face during their careers.  The details of the situation to be considered are provided to the teams on the morning of competition.  The teams will make a prepared response with recommended actions to the situation.  Teams must complete the Intent to Compete Form and register for the IEEE Region 5 Student Conference.  Read more >>

IEEE Region 5 Student Robotics Competitions

The Universities are invited to send Student Teams to compete in the IEEE Region 5 Robotics Competition.  The student team will be challenged to build autonomous robots within the competition rules and guidelines.  The competition will use a point system with the winning team receiving the highest number of points.  Details may be found in the official competition rules.  Teams must complete the Intent to Compete Form and register for the IEEE Region 5 Student Conference.  Read more >>
